Popular Nigerian celebrity Agbalanze Nnewi best known as Joe Igbokwe is a powerful politician, activist, social media personality, and spokesperson of the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) Lagos State. A few hours ago he took to his official Facebook page to write on the reason why the Nigerian army released the detained female soldier who got engaged to Corp member in the Camp.
According to him, he stated that the uniform lady who was recently detained for publicly accepting a marriage proposal from a youth corper has been set free. However, In his opinion, he noted that her release was possible as a result of the pressure that came from a combination of Nigerians who seems displeased with the situation and also because of the good tidings that come with the festive season.
It may interest you to know that some weeks back this uniform girl was said to have been kept in the guardroom for violating the social media policy of the armed forces after she was captured in the public jubilating over her marriage proposal from a member of the National Youth Service Corps.
Meanwhile, the news of her detention general a lot of mixed reactions from well-meaning Nigerians as many said to have been disappointed by the act and also pleaded for her to be pardoned.
