Ahead of the House of Representatives primary election of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Edo State, one of the aspirants, Engr Abu Abdulganiyu popularly known as The Digital has announced his intention to withdraw from the race while declaring his support for Bar Sunday Dekeri Anamelo for Etsako federal Constituency.
In a statement made available to AfemaiReporters, Abdulganiyu said Even though “he is very prepared and eminently equipped to provide purposeful leadership and aid the needed transformation in the Etsako federal constituency, this difficult decision was in the overall interest of Okpella and respect for the APC leadership in Okpella Community.
The statement reads;
MY ASPIRATION FOR THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, ETSAKO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY.
Let me begin by thanking members of my family and Campaign Organisation for the unflinching support during this very important moment of my life.
After Consultations with members of my family and Campaign Team, i have decided that for the sake of my relationship with Danco (Bar Sunday Dekeri Anamelo) and in the overall interest of Okpella, i will no longer continue the race for the House of Representatives, Etsako Federal Constituency.
My only interest is service to my People and i am convinced that Danco is better placed to serve this interest.
I am by this statement urging all my Supporters across the three Local Government Areas of Etsako Federal Constituency to collapse my structures into the Sunday Anamero Dekeri’s Campaign Organisation. I further appeal that you give him the same level of commitment and dedication to bring this very important position to Okpella/Etsako East Local Government Area.
