A former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has been screened for the ticket to contest the Senatorial election.
Oshiomhole is running on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The development is a u-turn from his presidential declaration on May 4 2022.
Oshiomhole was in Abuja on Saturday, May 14, for the screening.
Initially, Oshiomhole’s interest started with running for the Senate. He made his ambition known on his 70th birthday in Edo State.

“With you supporting the project [for me] to be the senator, I will be the senator representing Edo North,” Oshiomhole had said.
But his interest changed on May 4 when he publicly declared his intention as a viable candidate for the office of the president
