I join millions of your family, friends, associates, well wishers and admirers worldwide to felicitate with you on this special occasion of your diamond jubilee birthday celebration.
I celebrate with you today as my friend, brother, boss, mentor and political leader.
Providence brought us together in the early 1990 and God instructed me to remain connected to you, for as he admonished ‘as i lift him up he will lift you up ‘. I obeyed God. This word was confirmed in 2003 when you asked me to be your personal assistant even when all i was looking for was to be made a member of ‘any good board or committee ‘.
As PA i was an ‘ uncut gem’. Thank you for being my teacher. Thank you for bringing out the sparkle in me. Today, that extra cutting edge is always evident wherever i serve. You taught me that reward for hard work is more work. Then i thought you were too hard on me!.
You have been my role model since i knew you. I do a lot of things in common with you, even my wife and mother have remarked about this in the past!!
As you celebrate 60 today, i pray that you will celebrate 70, 80, 90,100 as the Lord Jesus tarries. And that you will do so in good health, sound mind and with prosperity. That God in his infinite mercies will continue to elevate and lift you up. That your heart desires will be fufilled.
Let me not fail to appreciate and celebrate the virtuous woman, your wife of inestimable value, who has been by your side these many years, professor Mrs Idia Ize-iyamu as she also celebrate her birthday today. The hand of God almighty on you both will not depart.
