Social media personality and public commentator, Deji Adeyanju, on Tuesday claimed that Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the 2023 election, offered him money to promote his ambition, but he rejected it.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Adeyanju who castigated Obi’s supporters as “known liars and fake news merchants”, bragged that there is no serving governor in Nigeria he demands money from.
Adeyanju, a former Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was reacting to allegations he asked to be made a spokesman for the Obi campaign organisation, and demanded for “a mob sum” of N250 million to mobilise other social media personalities, “but was turned down”.
“Obi fans are known liars and fake news merchants. Obi is too small for me to ask him money. If I can never ask current governors that are my friends in APC or PDP for money, is it a former Gov I will ask? He offered me money and I refused. Begged to see me for a month. Have receipts,” Adeyanju wrote on his known Twitter handle.
