2023: Edo North Women Leader, Oni-Okpaku Denies Resigning As Senatorial Women Leader

The Edo North All Progressives Congress Senatorial Women Leader , Dr. Omoua Oni-Okpaku has reacted to the earlier story published online about her resignation as the Senatorial Women Leader.

When contacted about the development, the Senatorial Women Leader, disassociate herself from the said online publication.

She reiterated her unquestionable loyalty and commitment to her party, the APC, especially to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

Dr.Oni Okpaku, noted it is on record that she resigned her appointment as Edo State Commissioner For Environment and Sustainability in the interest of the party and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole whom she has utmost respect and affection for. Oshiomole single handedly put Edo north on the map of infrastructural growth.

She added that as a Progressive, she cannot at this point jettison the sacrifices she has made to ensure APC succeeds, stressing that she is yet to come to terms with the reason behind the publication of her resignation, by scheming minds and urged the public to disregard it.

In her words” It is worthy of note that she remains committed to deliver Comrade Oshiomhole and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as Senator and President respectively and all other candidates by the grace of God Almighty.

After years at LASG rising through the ranks until i became the Managing Director of Lagos State Waterways and having resigned my appointment from the Edo State Government as a Hon Commissioner to stand by my party the Apc, I cannot at this point want to leave the party for no reason.

Our focus is to ensure that we deliver our party, come February 2023 and stressed on the need to face the task at hand.
