Senator Jibrilla Bindow, the immediate past Governor of Adamawa State, has joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and is now supporting Governor Umaru Fintiri’s re-election bid.
The former governor, who was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), informed Governor Fintiri of this through a delegation of 250 leaders from his support groups.
Speaking at the Banquet Hall of Government House in Yola on Monday, the delegation’s leader, Abdullahi Bakari, said the visit was ordered by their principal.
According to the leader, the former governor has asked them to express his gratitude to Governor Fintiri for completing projects he inherited throughout the state.
They are also rallying behind former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, whom they say has served as a leader to them over the years and thus deserves their support in his presidential bid
