Adamawa APC Exco Overrules ‘Suspension’ Of Northeast Vice Chairman

The Executive Committee of Adamawa chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has overruled the ‘suspension’ of the party’s Vice Chairman of North East, Comrade Mustapha Salihu.

The Rumde ward exco moved against Salihu on Sunday by declaring him suspended from APC over alleged anti-party activities.

However, the State exco of the party, in its counter-move, declared the ‘suspension’ null and void, according to a statement on Monday morning.

In the statement, the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party described the purported suspension of Salihu as illegal.

Adamawa APC Secretary Dr. Raymond Chidama, alleged faceless persons were being used by the enemies to disrupt the chances of APC in the forthcoming elections.

He advised members of the party to disregard the publication of Salihu’s suspension.

Before the Rumde ward exco declared a vote of no confidence on Salihu, they suspended their ward chairman, Abdulkadir Abdullahi who apparently rejected the plan to suspend the Northeast zonal Vice chairman.

The state party scribe said the suspension of the Rumde ward party chairman by the “party crashers” was laughable and their “interloping attitude” is unconstitutional and of no effect.

The embattled Rumde ward chairman expressed loyalty to Salihu, describing his suspension as unreal, and stressed that he remained the Rumde Ward chairman of the APC.
