Dr. Akin Osuntokun, the Campaign Council Director General for the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, has been defeated in local government by Peter Obi.
Obi lost the local government of Ekiti West in Ekiti State to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in Saturday’s presidential election.
The APC won all 11 wards in the council, according to the results announced by the Independent National Electoral Local Government Collation Officer.
According to the results, the APC received 14,516 votes, while the LP received 391 votes. The People Democratic Party, which finished first runner-up, received 4,318 votes, while the New Nigeria People’s Party received 10 votes.
Ekiti West is represented by Ekiti State Governor Mr Biodun Oyebanji and Tinubu’s son-in-law Hon. Oyetunde Ojo
