BREAKING: APC Sweeps NASS Seats In Ekiti

The All Progressive Congress (APC) has cleared all the National Assembly seats in Ekiti State.

The broom party won all the six House of Representatives seats and three Senatorial seats.

Ekiti North senatorial candidate of the APC, Cyril Fasuyi scored 54,224 votes to defeat his closet opponent, Funsho Ayeni of the Peoples Democratic Party((PDP) who got 39,921.

In Ekiti Central, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele of the APC won for the second term with 69,351 votes while the PDP candidate, Lateef Ajijola got 26, 181 votes.

For Ekiti South, Senator Biodun Olujimi of the PDP lost her bid to return the upper chamber to the APC candidate, Yemi Adaramodu.

Adaramodu who is a serving member of the House of Representatives, polled 63, 189 votes to defeat Olujimi who got 36, 191.

In Ekiti Central federal Constituency I, the current occupant and APC’s candidate, Olusola Fatoba has also been declared the winner with a total of 39, 182 votes.

He defeated former governor Ayodele Fayose’s son, Oluwajomiloju Fayose of the PDP candidate who polled 12,295 votes.

Biodun Omoleye of the APC won Ekiti Central federal constituency with to beat his main rival Lere Olayinka of the PDP who got votes.

In Ekiti North federal constituency 1, the candidate of the APC, Kolawole Akinlayo emerged winner after defeating his main challenger, Samuel Ajayi.

Akin Rotimi of the APC won Ekiti North Federal Constituency II. He defeated PDP candidate, Yinka Akerele and Bimbo Daramola of the Social Democratic Party.

For Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, former Ekiti State House of Assembly, Femi Bamisile of the APC was reelected into the green chamber for the second time.

He trounced his closest opponent, Mrs Emiola Adenike of the PDP across all the wards in the three council areas in the constituency.

In Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, Air Vice Marsal Adeniyi Ojuawo (rtd) won the election in the constituency. The APC candidate defeated Henrich Akomolafe of the People’s Democratic Party.
