Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), won the election in Benue State.
Tinubu’s victory was confirmed by the state’s presidential election collation center on Tuesday morning.
Tinubu of the APC received 310,468 votes, while Labour Party runner-up Peter Obi received 308,372 votes. Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) finished third with 130,081 votes, while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) received 4,740.
The total number of registered voters was 2,772,977, with 840,189 accredited voters.
With a total of 797,762 votes cast, the number of valid votes reached 770,075, while rejected votes totaled 27,687.
