Tinubu Constitutes Legal Team To Defend Mandate

President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has assembled a team of legal experts to defend his mandate in the recently concluded presidential election.

Mr. Festus Keyamo, spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC), stated this at a press conference held at the APC campaign headquarters in Abuja.

Though Keyamo did not reveal the identity of those on the team, he did reveal that it consisted of him and several senior advocates who have expressed willingness to volunteer their services.

Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), also stated that the legal team had agreed to file a cross petition against the opposition Labour Party and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) suit aimed at ensuring the cancellation of the LP’s votes in the entire South East geopolitical zone of the country.

He claimed that the election in the South East geopolitical zone was marred by vote rigging and voter intimidation, and that he had evidence that the entire results of a particular ward were handwritten by an unidentified individual.
