BREAKING: PDP’s Plot To Influence INEC To Enlist More Units In Edo By-elections REVEALED

Edo people across political divides particularly the APC and Labour Party have raised alarm over moves by the PDP-led Edo State Government to add up units where the election has already been held to areas where re-run elections are scheduled to hold on Saturday.

APC in Ovia South West has since made this plot public with the Edo INEC PRO denying it. Labour Party in Egor and Oredo have also raised this concern which is targeted by PDP to cover its impossible number of trails from areas of the re-run.

Orhionmwon APC arose to the same news this morning, of pressure by elements in the PDP to add more units to the already identified and published 48 units with 3 in Uhunmwode, 2 in Urhonigbe, 16 in Evboesi, and 27 in Ugu wards.

INEC insider who alerted APC to the plot and pressure from the government said the PDP is targeting to add units to the re-run in Ukpato Ward, the only Ward where PDP maintains dominance in the whole of Orhionmwon, and home to the PDP Candidate, Orhionmwon Council Liaison Officer, and Special Adviser to the Governor.

The Orhionmwon APC has since warned unscrupulous elements in the commission not to play on the intelligence or test the will of Orhionmwon people in their desire for a free, fair, and credible process. It includes foregoing such thoughts and plots to add any unit to the already published units as any addition or alterations is a call to a breakdown of law and order in the area, and security agencies are hereby alerted.

The APC is trailing Labour Party ahead of the Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency re-run election by less than 1000 votes while the PDP is in a distant third place trailing with over 3,200 votes, and the by-election in 48 units is expected to throw up a winner on Saturday.
