Edo state Vice- chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Jarret Tenebe has commended the initiative of empowering some citizens of the state by the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC with tricycles.
Tenebe who represented the State chairman of the APC, Col David Imuse RTD at the weekend event in Benin City said the development reflects the capacity of General Charles Airhiavbere, who is the Executive Director, Finance of the Commission.
He said, ” This is one of the many empowerment schemes by the general which shows that going forward Edo state must have a governor such as a general who has capacity to deliver dividends to the people”.
14 tricycles popularly known as “Keke” were given out to the 14 persons, drawn from across the state, at the exercise which had General Cecil Esekhaigbe, the Edo Central APC leader as Chairman.
Other signatories were General Charles Airhiavbere, the Executive Director Finance of the commission and Hon Patrick Aisowerien, the State Commissioner of the NDDC.
