Edo State House of Assembly has approved a resolution for Governor Godwin Obaseki to access a loan facility of 1.5 billion naira to facilitate repairs and maintenance of internal roads across the state.
The adoption of the resolution was sequel to the consideration of a letter to that effect signed by Governor Godwin Obaseki which was dated July 19 and addressed to the speaker of the parliament.
The majority leader of the house and member representing Ovia North East one, Mr Charity Aiguobarueghian and the lawmakers representing Esan South East, and others agreed that the loan would facilitate rehabilitation and maintenance of roads in the state for rapid socio-economic development in the state.
The Speaker, Mr. Blessing Agbebaku following the approval of the loan by the house directed the clerk to forward clean copies of the resolution to the governor for immediate action.
