The Edo State Government has announced a new resumption date for all schools in the Edo Central Senatorial District, following a review of the earlier postponement.
In a circular issued by the Ministry of Education and signed by the Commissioner, Dr. Paddy Iyamu, the government directed that all public and private primary and secondary schools in Edo Central are to resume for the Second Term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, 19th January, 2026.
The Ministry urged parents, guardians, school heads, and proprietors to take note of the updated directive and ensure full compliance for a smooth and effective start to academic activities.
Dr. Iyamu expressed the Ministry’s appreciation to all education stakeholders for their patience, cooperation, and understanding, assuring that the government remains committed to improving the welfare and learning environment of children across the state.
