It is an established fact that the likes of Ighoyota Amori and David Edevbie are nothing but ‘occupational Delta State Politicians’ who are being used by former Delta State Governor and ex-convict James Ibori and his cabal, to practically ruin Delta State to a point of no return. Now this same James Ibori, who had pleaded guilty, was convicted and was sent to prison for grossly misappropriating/stealing our collective wealth from Delta State treasury, has recently instructed Amori to convene a supposed meeting of Urhobo Politicians, which is apparently to mislead them and use them to impose David Edevbie on the Delta State people come 2023.
It happened that Ibori, Edevbie and Amori orchestrated this plan which they named and styled as “DC 2023.” And the supposed National Chairman of the so-called DC 2023 is Ighoyota Amori, with the primary agenda of regrouping to take over the governance of Delta State come 2023, so as to loot Delta State treasury as usual. They actually planned to inaugurate the supposed Executive members of this nonsensical and useless DC 2023 group, on 22nd May 2021 at PTI Conference Effurun. And after that, they will be visiting Urhobo Traditional Rulers to lobby them in the actualization of their plans. We can see that these are nothing but a bunch of thieves scheming to have their claws on the Delta State Government seat. Who does not know that Amori, Edevbie and Ibori are grand thieves in the State’s public space. I challenge all of them to tender their bank accounts details/ statements’ before 1999, and their banks accounts statements’ after 2003 and 2007. We would then see that their legitimate salaries and allowances could not have made them acquire the properties they have now. All their wealth are money stolen from Delta State treasuries.

The above is the latest strategy by these same set of vipers of Delta State economic growth and development, all of whom have held Delta State in practically economic slavery for their bellies and selfish interests since 1999 to date. It will therefore be foolishness of high proportions, absolute cowardice, and betrayal of the trust and confidence of the people if any Urhobo Politician and Elite would even entertain the thought of attending such meetings that will be convened by Amori and sponsored by Ibori.
Let me say it as it is in Warri pidgin-English: If na witch dey do them I reject am for dem in Jesus Name. There should come a point where people should forget serving the interest of their bellies, and for once in their lives be bold enough to say Enough is Enough! We simply cannot continue to allow these same set of Politicians that have held the State captive in their grips for over a decade, to continue on that path while well-meaning Deltans are still alive and breathing.

It is no news that the likes of Ighoyota Amori and his people have been living and feeding fat on the Delta State Government as the cows feed on grass, since 1999 to date. It is as if Ighoyota Amori, David Edevbie and James Onanefe Ibori were born to ruin the Urhobo nation and the entire Delta State because, all these people think of and do, is how to continually feed their bellies and insatiable appetite and greed from the public treasury of Delta State Government. This is why I am greatly surprised that some Urhobo elites are still running after them, apparently due to hunger and lack and greed. This set of Urhobo politicians and elites have refused to ask themselves relevant questions. For instance, what were Ighoyota Amori and David Edevbie living and feeding on since 1999? Who were Ighoyota Amori and David Edevbie before 1999 in the State’s political space? What businesses and sources of livelihood do they have from that time to now, to have gotten the sort of wealth they now brandish in the face of Urhobo politicians and elites?
Who does not know that James Ibori was said to have used Ighoyota Amori to loot the Delta State treasury through the then Ministry of education as the Delta State Commissioner of Education? David Edevbie as the then Commissioner of Finance under the Ibori-led administration obviously masterminded all the unrestrained looting of Delta State treasury, which also led to the conviction of Ibori, his wife, his sister, his mistress, and lawyer. These are public information that is known to everyone, and which ought to make Urhobo politicians and elites act with discretion and not rubbish their supposed integrity with these vipers and enemies of the State. I was told David Edevbie can no longer walk free in the UK because of his connections with James Ibori’s loots. It is being said now that the British Metropolitan Police have perfected plans to arrest David Edevbie once they see him in the UK.
This is why I consider it foolhardy and absolute foolishness for anyone in their sane mind, to want to have anything to do with these corrupt-ridden politicians because absolutely NOTHING GOOD, THAT WILL BE IN THE INTEREST OF DELTANS THAT WILL COME OUT FROM IGHOYOTA AMORI, JAMES IBORI, AND DAVID EDEVBIE.
My candid advice and wise counsel to all Urhobo politicians/elites/traditional rulers is to completely ignore the said Amori’s convened meeting(s) being secretly sponsored by Ibori. Such gathering can only be engineered to create room for the continued pilfering of our collective wealth by this cabal, by planting one of their own in Delta State Government House come 2023. We should not allow an ex-convict like Ibori to continue to hold this State to ransom and political slavery through his tentacles – Edevbie and Amori – the same set of people that cooperated and collaborated with Ibori to ruin the economic and developmental future of Delta State.
Those who still sing the praises of these ones, James Ibori, Ighoyota Amori, and David Edevbie, are only doing so out of selfishness, greed and wrong intentions. While we are grappling to understand why James Ibori, Ighoyota Amori, and David Edevbie cannot hand off totally from Delta State politics, let us also be reminded that they are men of easy virtues who have no iota of shame and integrity left to their names. As such, they have made up their minds to do anything, including the unthinkable, just to sustain their wasteful lifestyles, wantonness, and immoral living.
However, it is time for every well-meaning Deltan, Urhobo politician/elite to say: Enough of the looting and pilfering of our collective wealth meant to make life a lot better for all and sundry. We really cannot imagine what will be the consequences of allowing James Ibori, David Edevbie, and Ighoyota Amori to have their way in trying to have the total control of the Delta State Government in 2023. The consequences and simply dire and severe, not just for the people of Delta State, but for the unborn future generations of our Children.
We simply cannot afford to allow this to happen. In fact, I don’t think Delta State will ever recover from it, if Delta elites/politicians would allow these set of politicians to regroup to continue ruining the State from where they stopped. Since 1999 to date, election time has always been business time for Ibori, Amori Edevbie and other politicians in the front line. But if I were to render my candid opinion to David Edevbie, I would advise that he should just quietly quit the governorship race and enjoy his loots gathered all these years. Sometimes I wonder if James Ibori, Ighoyota Amori, and David Edevbie have a human conscience at all. This is because they know the sort of financial atrocities they committed against the State. Especially for David Edevbie who was the then Delta State Commissioner of Finance under the Ibori-led administration.
The bottom line is that Delta State Politicians and Elites should not attend any meeting(s) convened by Amori and his boss, Ibori. Such meeting(s) has bad intentions and evil motives because Ibori, Amori and Edevbie are instrument of destruction to the Urhobo nation and the entire Delta State.
