Unknown GUNMEN has kidnapped two businessmen in Benin city.
Moses Osagie, and Omoma Osazuwa, were jointly kidnapped in a construction site by the Gunmen who invaded the Iyekogba locality.
As gathered by Standard Gazette crime correspondent Festus Alenkhe, the armed men stormed the site in a commando-style, shot sporadically into the air, before abducting their victims.
The report says they were taken through the Ogba river to an unknown destination.
As of press time, the alleged kidnappers have already called the family members of the victims, demanding N30M – N15m each.
A member of the family who spoke with Standard Gazette, ” we were shocked to receive a call from someone who said he is a kidnapper saying we must pay N30m to release our sons.
“We have no such money, and we are hereby appealing to the kidnappers to temper justice with mercy”.
The police in Edo state is yet to react to the incident.
Abduction tactics have changed over the months as residents with high social status were usually targeted.
