Reactions have continued to pour in over the loss of Briton-Nigerian box Anthony Joshua to his challenger Oleksandr Usyk.
Dillian Whyte predicts AJ’s defeat
Dillian Whyte predicted that Joshua would be defeated if he tried to outbox his opponent.
And he has given his lowdown of the fight, where Usyk became heavyweight king.
“I said if Joshua tried to box he was always going to lose,” Whyte told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“If he had come out and bullied him and pushed the pace and let his hands go he could have knocked him out in the first even round.
“But he came out and was being too negative he seemed like a gun shy fighter. You are the bigger man, have a go.
“I don’t know, he lacked ambition in the ring there tonight.
“The first round, Usyk landed the first strong blow and Joshua was a negative fighter. He got tagged with a left and he was worried the whole time.”
Whyte will next face Otto Wallin on October 30 at the O2, but vowed he would have a “shoot-out” with Usyk if ever given an opportunity.
He added: “I have to go through Wallin first, after we will see.
“But I tell you what, I will not be losing to an overall decision like that, I can tell you that now.
“I will go out and I will have a shoot-out – if I get knocked out, I get knocked out, but I will have a shoot-out, I am not getting out boxed over 12 rounds like that, no chance.”

“I spoke to him, he is devastated and focussing on training again.
“They are taking a look at the eye socket, but congratulations to Usyk he is an incredible fighter and well done.
“Usyks very fit, was well conditioned and exercised his style very well in the fight and he was really good tonight and will go down in history tonight.
“This was a tough fight for AJ, getting beaten by a pound-for-pound best fighter and he will have to make changes for that defeat.
“We will have enough time, the fighter in AJ says he will win the rematch but I had it close before Usyk ran away with it at the end.
“But he has to make changes and impose his style to win the rematch, or he will lose again.
“He will want to go back in that rematch, and he will be the underdog in that fight but he has just been beaten by a pound-for-pound great.
“Joshua lives and breathes boxing, he is already talking about training again and he will be in the gym and ready to get back in again.
“You can criticise Anthony Joshua, but he has just fought a great and he is fighting the very best, and tonight he came off second best.
“There is a new unified heavyweight world champion, but there is no point sulking about it and he must go back to the drawing board and rebuild.”

“He did an excellent job, and I am so proud of him.
“Everybody will be happy in Ukraine, and after Wladimir Klitschko he is the second heavyweight to take all the belts home.”
