2023: Which Way To Go, North Or South? By Shehu Aliyu Francis

Criticism especially constructive ones are parts of the mechanism for the progress and development of a people or a given community, state or nation, and it is what shows that we have a mind of our own, because, *“Not to speak one’s thought is slavery.”* says Euripides

Before PDP (or any other party for that matter) was ever given a thought which materialized into its existence, I existed and had a mind of my own and the ability to form and opinion on what is right and wrong, and what translates fairness, equality and justice. If my party fails on these, I will point them out to the party and all that care to listen, and this is why I have be doing so and would keep doing so:

*“Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the indifference of those who should have known better, the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most, that has made it possible for evil to triumph.”* say Haile Selassie

Now, it doesn’t matter who is involved and what is involved, I try to sticks by those things which I think would bring about fairness equity and justice.
Would PDP winning the next election fair and just? That would be for the electorates to decide.

Would the PDP fielding a northern candidate be fair and just? The answer is a capital NO. Man was not created for the party but the party was created for man, so we must, whether we like it or not, be reasonable and be humane – thinking with our heads and hearts.

Mind you, *“Justice consists not in being neutral between right and wrong, but in finding out the right and upholding it, wherever found, against the wrong.”* says Theodore Roosevelt

I am not someone who would shy away from saying that Nigeria comes first before any party (and that would seem to be in line would what the constitution expects of me), and it goes without saying that the consideration and its framers would not have mute the idea of one region ruling back to back, so why should that be acceptable to me?

*“Right is right, even if everyone is against it, and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.”* says William Penn
I will not accept as right a northerner succeeding a northerner.
