Many feared dead after an explosion rocked an illegal refinery in the creeks of Warri River in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State on Thursday afternoon.
Trixx NG learnt victims of the explosion were rushed to a private hospital from Warri Miler Jetty in a fast-moving speed boat
Sources who spoke with the Punch said that the victims got burnt when fire gutted their local refinery site as they were busy refining petroleum products in the creeks leaving one dead while about five others sustained varying degrees of burns.
As of the time of filing this report, the identities of the victims could not be ascertained but some of them were said to be from the Northern part of the country.
