You Were In Coma When Oshiomhole Was Denied To Fly – Aisha Replies Twitter User Who Praised Jonathan

One may need to come to terms with this agreeable fact that the only constant thing about Nigerian politics is that every successive government has its deficiency as well as its good records. This is what can be said in the arguments between a renowned social media Influencer and popular human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu as they have been pointed over who led more responsible government between former President Goodluck Jonathan and the current president Muhammadu Buhari.

The renowned human rights activist and convener of ” Bring Back Our Girls Movement”, Aisha Yesufu has taken to her verified Twitter Page where she responded to the Twitter user who has praised the government led by former President Goodluck Jonathan as he talks down on Buhari’s government respectively.

As per the Twitter user, he is of the view that Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan passed an electoral bill into law without drama. It is understood that the media influencer who can be identified by his username ” Warrior” was reacting to the recent rejection of the electoral bill by President Muhammadu Buhari. Warrior as his username says went ahead to remind Aisha Yesufu that during Jonathan’s regime, Nigerians were allowed to protest without being intimidated or arrested and that social media there was never a ban on social media.

However, the human rights activist has swiftly reminded him that something worst also happened during Jonathan’s regime. In her reply to him, Aisha draw his attention to certain events as she said; ” it seems like you were in a coma when the security operatives of the former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi and Ex-Governor Kwankwaso were withdrawn by Goodluck Jonathan. ”

The human rights activist went further to tell him that the former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole was during Jonathan regime not permitted to travel out of Nigeria. Aisha also reminded him (Warrior) that former House of Representatives Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal was tear- gassed when Goodluck Jonathan was in power.

This argument might seem not necessary but it added to the fact that no particular government is a saint government while a preceding government is good in a particular area the existing government might be good in other areas. An argument like this show opens the eyes of Nigerians towards the need to usher in a more credible leader in the forthcoming 2023 general election so that the progress of Nigeria can be sustained.
