It’s also your responsibility to be wise enough to avoid doing some things just because they want you to prove your love for them. Otherwise, you may eventually not like yourself. They may put you in a situation where they’re demanding something before they agree to marry you.

1. Never cheat on someone you intend to marry. They may forgive you and still choose to marry you but the thought of what you did might make them start suspecting you after your marriage. Once you are engaged, please stay faithful.

If your partner should start suspecting you after marriage, it can affect the trust they have for you because you’ve done something similar before. Someone who truly wants to settle down with you will trust you but don’t give them reasons to doubt you.

A great marriage should always start with a solid foundation of trust. Once you are faithful to your prospective partner, you have the confidence to talk about your fidelity. Even when you are spending time with friends of the opposite gender, your partner will trust you.

2. Never get into a fight with any of your relatives just to defend the person you want to marry. Turning your family against your prospective partner is not a good idea. It may not give them peace after marriage, because your relatives might not make them happy.

The best way to protect your partner’s integrity among your relatives is to avoid discussing their issues with them. You also need to avoid discussing your family’s issues with your future partner.

Always give them a good impression of your family and give your family a good impression of them.

3. Never give up your source of income for someone you want to marry. They may be working for a company in another state. If they ask you to quit your job and relocate to where they’re working, you have to tread with caution.

If they tell you that you will find a better job there, make sure you get the job first and see if it’s better than your current job before you abandon it. No matter how much you love them and how financially strong they are, don’t make yourself jobless for the person you want to marry.

They may tell you that marriage is not about money. However, when you get married and start living together, you will understand that money is very important in raising a home.
