The attention of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has been drawn to a fictitious claim published by an individual on the 20th day of January, 2022 over a property that was destroyed. In the said publication, the writer attempted to smear the image of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who has no knowledge of the spurious allegation.
Consequently, it has become pertinent to set the records straight in order to correct the unfortunate perception of the writer and guide public thoughts and opinions.
*1.* That the only property duly owned by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu which is under contention is his farmland in Amagba community.
*2* The said farmland was legally acquired by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu over a decade ago, with proper documentations signed by all relevant authorities in the community as well as Certificates of Occupancy (C. of O.) issued by the Edo State government.
*3* That tax invoices and receipts of payable Land Use Charge on the said property bears the name of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
*4* That on this same property, the High Court of Justice has since issued a restraining order against the Edo State government, Amagba community and one Mathew Iduoriyekemwen from trespassing on the land. This is in suit number B/637/32021.
*5* That the only parties to the case in court are the Edo State government, Edo State Geographical Information Service, Amagba community and one Mathew Iduoriyekemwen.
*6* Since the writer is not a party to the case, her claim is entirely incoherent.
*7* As a result, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has no knowledge of the said property under dispute as the writer seems to infer.
*8* If the aforementioned farmland is what this individual is claiming then she must be mistaken or have been swindled by land grabbers or speculators as Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has enjoyed peaceful possession of this particular property (which must be different from that which she claims) for over a decade.
*9* It must be worthy of note that the said land was completely fenced until the perimeter fencing was maliciously destroyed, hence, the case in court.
*10* This same lady who is obsessed with Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has previously been sued by the Pastor for defamation of character.
*11* As a law abiding citizen, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu will continue to sue for peace. The claimant is therefore advised to be sure of her claims before making false allegation just to attract public sympathy.
*Signed:*
Iyekekpolor Erhauyi Alfred,
(Principal Secretary for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu)
