Police Reveal Where BRT Driver Was Arrested

The Lagos State Police Command has revealed the location of the BRT driver who is suspected of being involved in the killing of Oluwabamise Ayanwole.

Mr. Nice Andrew, according to the police, was apprehended in a hideout in Ogun State.

Abiodun Alabi, the Commissioner of Police, announced this on Monday during a parade of the suspect at the command headquarters.

Alabi added that Andrew was arrested shortly after the lifeless body of Bamise was discovered by the Department of State Services, DSS.

According to the police chief, Bamise’s body was discovered laying on the Carter Bridge by residents of Ogogoro community on the Lagos Island area of the state.

Alabi stated that the corpse has been deposited at the Mainland Hospital’s mortuary in Yaba for autopsy.

However, the police chief stated that the subject was later turned over to police for further action.

He said:“The BRT driver, Andrew Nice was caught in a hideout in Ogun State by operatives of the Department of State Services.

“He was subsequently handed over to the police for further necessary actions. As the suspect is being paraded today (Monday), we want to assure the public and indeed the bereaved family of the victim that justice will be served in this case.”

Recall that Ayanwole went missing on February 26 while returning to Ota from Ajah. She boarded a BRT bus with the number 240257 heading to Oshodi at approximately 7 p.m. at the Chevron Bus-Stop.

The woman, who worked as a fashion designer in Ajah and spent her weekends with her sister in Ota, Ogun State, had sent some voice notes to a friend when she suspected danger on the bus.
