ASCI 2nd Edition Of Inter-school Quiz Competition In Commemoration Of International Day Of The African Child Hold Tomorrow In Fugar

Project Overview

Since 1991, the International day of the African Child has been celebrated on June 16 to commemorate the thousands of children who where killed while fighting for their right to education. As a non- governmental organization with the visionary zeal to support children’s education and rights across Africa, we at Africa Scholars Care Initiative have designed an Inter – school quiz competition for Nigerian children in designated communities.

The program will hold on wednesday June 15th, 2022 at Estako Central Local Government Secretariate in Fugar City, Edo state. Although all preliminaries were held at  various LGAs (Onwa East, Onwa West, Akoko Edo, Etsako Central , Etsako West and Etsako East) before the grande ceremony and celebration of  International Day of the African Child.

Rewards

After that competition, children who perform excellently and emerge winners will be reward with star prize which includes,

1st Prize:

200,000 naira, certificate of participation, Medals, Gifts and other Consolation Prizes.

2nd Prize:

150,000 naira, certificate of participation, Medals, Gifts and other Consolation Prizes.

3rd Prize:

100,000 naira, certificate of participation, Medals, Gifts and other Consolation Prizes.

The Inter- school quiz competition is organised by ASCI to recognize, support and encourage global initiatives targeted at improving education for children across Africa. However, the International day of the African Child is been celebrated by ASCI with the objective to raise awareness for the ongoing need to improve the education of children living across Africa.

According to history, half of the 57 million primary school age children are currently out of school around the world with over half from Africa  thereby reiterating the need for better awareness and integrated intervention for children’s education in Africa.

Africa Scholars Care Initiative will mark the International day of the African child with the event of the quiz competition. During the competition, questions, deliberations and discussion bothering on child development will be identified with the objective to attract assistance, proactive inputs and prospective initiatives for the African child with emphasis on education and other basic development areas.
