UPDATED: How Delegates Voted For Tinubu, Other Aspirants Revealed [FULL LIST]

Former Governor of Lagos State and national chairman of All Progressive Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has won the APC presidential primary.

Tinubu polled the highest votes in the election which held at Eagle Square Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday and Wednesday.

AfemaiReporters reports that no fewer than 2000 plus delegates decided the fate of the presidential aspirants jostling for the ticket of the party.

Tinubu emerged as winner with a total of 1271 votes, defeating other frontline aspirants – Former Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi and Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo who polled 316 and 235 votes respectively

Earlier in the primaries, Governors Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state, Abubakar Badaru of Jigawa state, former Governor Ibikunle Amosun, former Speaker of the House of Representatives Dimeji Bankole, Senator Robert Boroffice, Female aspirant Uju Ken-Ohanenye, and former governor Godswill Akpabio withdrew from the race and declared their support for Tinubu.

As it stands, Tinubu will slug it out with Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of PDP in the 2023 Presidential election scheduled to hold on February 25, 2023.

 

Governorship and state assembly elections will be held on March 11, 2023.
