On Thursday, Finnish authorities announced the arrest of Simon Ekpa, a popular pro-Biafra separatist agitator.
According to HS, a Finnish news outlet, the police escorted the separatist from his Lahti apartment to their station for interrogation and detention.
The HS claimed they went to Ekpa’s house for an interview, but when the HS team rang the bell at Ekpa’s house, the Finnish police, KRP, answered.

The HS said the KRP prevented their team from entering Ekpa’s apartment and said that the interview would be moved “to the future”.
When contacted, a Finnish Embassy official in Abuja who requested anonymity confirmed Ekpa’s arrest on Thursday.
“It is our understanding that he is currently in police custody in Finland,” the official who is not authorised to speak to the press told journalists
