Children’s Day: APC Chieftain Aguebor MFR felicitates Nigerian Children

A popular chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) lady Sandra Aguebor has felicitated the Nigerian children on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day.

Sandra noted that May 27 was set aside to draw attention to the rights and plights of children in Nigeria. Every Nigerian parent, governments and guidance holds them that respect on their big day.

The national president of Lady mechanic association of Nigeria Aguebor said the nation must continue to do more to prepare its young ones for a better future.

Sandra frowns at the large number of children who have dropped out of school in the country and calls for deliberate action by the government to change the alarming situation.

The national women leader Amalgamated Union of Motor Mechanics and Technicians of Nigeria (AUOMMATON) stressed her worry over the grave consequences of Nigeria having a high number of children without formal education.

She then urged the relevant authorities at the various levels and the society at large to pay close attention to the needs of children.

She said the government must be alert to make prompt and proactive policy interventions that provide children with good healthcare, get all of them into school at the appropriate ages, and equip them for the future with quality education.

The national vice president Nigeria skills sector council Aguebor Sandra also urged state governments in the spirit of the Children’s Day to domesticate and implement the Child’s Rights Act of 2003.
