Christmas: Hon Andrew Momodu Sends Message To Nigerians

Hon Andrew Momodu, the PDP candidate and by God’s grace the incoming member of the House Representatives to represent Etsako Federal Constituency has felicitated with Christian faithful in Etsako – Edo State and indeed Nigeria as they join their counterparts across the globe to celebrate Christmas in commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a goodwill message released by Comrade Jerome Eramho, the Director of Media & Communications of the Andrew Momodu Campaign Organization, the Honourable enjoined Christian faithful and the entire people of Etsako Federal Constituency to look beyond the trying moment in the country, rededicate themselves and remain steadfast in prayers against all the challenges bedeviling the country and humanity in general.

“On this significant occasion of Christmas, I extend my best wishes to all the Christian faithful in Edo State particularly my good and loving brothers and sisters in Etsako East, Central and West local Govt Area of Edo State,” he said.

This celebration is coming at a time Nigeria is going through tough, hard and difficult time, a time of near hopelessness, in a country pervaded by untold hardship, insecurity, banditry, killer herdsmen, insurgency, disunity and discontent, a deeper reflection on the life of Jesus would be of great help, a life of love, compassion and kindness. In his words:

“We are indeed in a trying moment but I am optimistic that with collective commitment, sacrifice, and by turning to God through prayers we shall overcome all the trials, and change the ugly socioeconomic and political narratives in Etsako through progressive politics and people – oriented leadership” he said.“

The unbeatable PDP candidate also used the opportunity to remind Etsako people to continue to support and stand for true and effective representation and progressive leadership of Etsako by electing leaders that are godly, selfless, visionary, responsive, attentive, proactive, productive and progressive. There is need for us to have leaders that are ready to make sacrifice in serving, representing and leading our people.

In his words: “The significance of Christmas is that a Saviour was born to save the world from sin and as a result God established His Kingdom on earth. As politicians and as leaders in our various communities and constituencies, we have a role to play in establishing God’s divine order on earth by electing leaders that will save and serve our people and not leaders on a MISSION TO deprive the people of the good of the Land of Etsako.”
