The national president of Ladies’ mechanic association of Nigeria Aguebor said on this special day that we commemorate our country’s journey towards democratic governance and the sacrifices made by our heroes past. We also reflect on our progress and recommit ourselves to the ideals of democracy – freedom, justice, and equality for all.
As we mark this occasion, we honour the resilience and determination of the Nigerian people. We acknowledge the challenges we face and reaffirm our dedication to building a better future for ourselves, our children, and generations to come, she noted.
The national women leader Amalgamated Union of Motor Mechanics and Technicians of Nigeria (AUOMMATON) Aguebor Sandra encouraged women to participate in politics while recognizing their vital contributions.
The APC chieftain admonished that the incoming government of Senator Monday Okpebholo and his running mate Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa is working to support women wholeheartedly if elected such as free loan to market women, empowerment initiative, addressing the need for greater gender inclusivity, inclusiveness of women in politics, women candidates with funding and training to increase their participation.
The national vice president Nigeria skills sector council Aguebor Sandra charges edo women to campaign massively for APC candidates ahead of the September 21st 2024, gubernatorial election.
She said that while progress is being made, there is still a need for greater support and resources to overcome the existing barriers of the present people democratic party (PDP) in our dear state.
