A philantropist and founder of Godsent Foundation, Dr Dion Osagie, has been appointed as chairman, Diaspora Affairs in the Edo State Peace Council of the Universal Peace Federation.
Universal Peace Federation is a non-Governmental Organisation with general consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
A statement by Osasu Usenbor,
Edo State coordinator of the body said the honour conferred on Ambassador Osagie as chairman of the organisation was in recognition of his contributions toward the
uplifting of humanity in the past 10 years.
“We are most honoured with your various contributions made towards the uplifting of humanity, this is quiet evident in your show of empathy to the poor and the needy for over ten (10) years now. As one of the oldest Edo State Ambassadors for Peace in Diaspora, you have also demonstrated a high level of trust and accountability, hence your appointment as Chairman Diaspora,” the statement added.
The statement, while congratulating Dr Osagie on this news feat, urged him to use the new appointment “to mobilize all Edo People in Diaspora for Peace.
