Dr. Paddy Iyamu: Pioneering Transformation in Edo’s Educational Landscape

Under the leadership of the listening and practical Governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, Commissioner for Education, Dr. Paddy Iyamu, has ensured that educational sector is witnessing a remarkable transformation. Since taking office, Dr. Iyamu has prioritized improving educational quality, accessibility, and infrastructure, aiming to equip students with the skills necessary for a competitive future.

One of the cornerstone initiatives has been the renovation and construction of schools across the state, ensuring that students have access to conducive learning environments.

As the Commissioner of Education in Edo State, Dr. Paddy Iyamu is ensuring that every child has access to quality and affordable education across basic, secondary, and tertiary levels with conducive environments.

To support higher education accessibility, Dr. Iyamu brought the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) program to Edo students, aimed at assisting those who struggle with tuition fees. This initiative is a significant step towards making education financially attainable for all.

In a notable achievement, Dr. Iyamu facilitated the induction of over 1,000 medical and nursing students at Ambrose Alli University, a process that had been stalled for two years. His leadership aligns with that of Governor Monday Okpebholo, who prioritizes practical governance and seeks to alleviate the challenges faced by the citizens of Edo.

Recently, Dr. Iyamu successfully navigated a potential protest by a coalition of private school owners, showcasing his commitment to dialogue and collaboration within the educational community.
