The Chief Whip of the Edo State House of Assembly and representative of Etsako West, Constituency 1, Hon. Hussein Mustapha Lecky, today held his two-year constituency briefing, during which he empowered dozens of constituents with vocational equipment aimed at promoting self-reliance and boosting economic activities at the grassroots
Among the things distributed at the gathering, which attracted political stakeholders, youth, women and community leaders across the entire Constituency 1, are electric dryers, electric grinding machines, sewing machines and scholarships for digital training for beneficiaries chosen from the entire constituency
The empowerment formed part of his initiatives at empowering Constituents, targeting artisans, small-scale entrepreneurs and vocational workers.
Highlighting his achievements over the past two years, Hon. Hussein noted that his representation has been guided by accessibility, accountability and people-centered development
“This two-year report is not just to account for my stewardship but to renew my commitment to the people,” he said. “We are focused on practical support that enhances livelihoods and builds a self-sustaining constituency.”
Community leaders and stakeholders in attendance commended the lawmaker for what they described as impactful and inclusive representation
They applauded his consistent efforts in addressing the economic needs of the people, especially women and youth involved in informal businesses
Many beneficiaries expressed gratitude, noting that the support would help them grow their trade and improve their standard of living
