In a strategic move to add life to the Edo State People’s Democratic Party Campaign Council for the Edo 2024, election, the Chairman of the Edo State Branch of the PDP, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi on Monday, May 27, 2024, inaugurated the Directors of Operations for Edo Central, Edo South, and Edo North Senatorial Districts in the personalities of Rt. Hon. Chief Joe Edionwele, Comr. Odion Olaiye and Hon. Barr. Jimoh Ijegbai respectively.
Stressing that the party has absolute confidence in the new Directors, the Digital State Chairman, Dr. Aziegbemi said, “Recently, the Party, PDP appointed three vibrant and experienced politicians to serve as Directors of Operations in the respective three Senatorial Districts of Edo State to help us mobilize, galvanize and ensure we massively win the September 21, 2024, Edo State election. These three men are very experienced in election matters. The party has absolute confidence in them. Today, I have to personally come to inaugurate them.”
“On this note, may I call on them to step forward for the inauguration; Hon. Barr. Jimoh Ijegbai, Director of Operations-Edo North, Rt. Hon. Chief Joe Edionwele, Director of Operations-Edo Central, and Comr. Odion Olaiye, Director of Operations-Edo South Senatorial District of Edo State.” Chief Edionwele and others stepped forward and were all inaugurated.
Responding on behalf of others, the Director of Operations South Senatorial District, Comr. Odion Olaiye thanked the State Chairman and team for believing in them saying, “On behalf of myself and other Directors, I thank the State Chairman and team that considered it wise to strengthen the Campaign Council by our inclusion. We promise to deliver PDP on the September 21, 2024, election in Edo State that will lead to our victory.”
Present at the ceremony were the DG, and Deputy DG for the Edo State PDP Campaign Council for Edo State 2024 election. Among others who were in the entourage of Chief Edionwele, Comr. Olaiye and Barr. Ijegbai to the venue of the inauguration were the Special Adviser to the Governor of Edo State on Political Matters (Edo Central Senatorial District) Mrs. Hon. Philomena Ihenyen, the Director General, The Ighodalo Movement for Edo People, TIME, Engr. Dr. Mike Enahoro, the Chairman, Egor LGA PDP, Chief Ekundayo Idehen, former LO, Egor LGA, Dr. Elvis Omoregie, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Edo State, Hon. Felix Irioh, and others.
