*A Communique By Leaders and executives of Ward One, APC Egor L.G.A; 26th April 2023 on Alleged Suspension of Hon.(Barr).Henry Idahagbon.*
We, the above named ward One, APC Egor L.G.A of Edo State hereby frowned at the purported news on the suspension of our Apex leader- Hon.(Barr). Henry Idahagbon by some few executives and members of the L.G.A of our great party led by one Chief. Emmanuel Iyase and his cohorts.
On his part, Hon. Enekpen Nosa Oviarobo (the ward One chairman) described the suspension by the L.G.A members as illegal, undemocratic and tantamount to usurping the power of the ward as First instance to hear the suspension order which in clear terms negates the portions of Article 21 of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Constitutional provisions.
Also, in pursuance of the rationale/reasons, it is on good records that:
i. Hon.(Barr). Henry Idahagbon has been supportive to many party issues and other matters asundry. Specifically, He supported the party immensely in the last registration exercise, and galvanised the numerical strength of voters at the ward.
ii. We are Not aware of anytime or whatsoever that Hon.(Barr). Henry Idahagbon didn’t participate in the last elections. For record purpose, He voted at Unit 33, Evbuotubu Saw-Mill (Open Space) because it was a new polling unit.
iii. Also, He had freely distributed employment forms to members of the party to aid/assist them get top Federal jobs, except that; the embargo placed by the government which have continued to caused him some hindrances on massive gained employments to the people. This and many more where to promote party growths and development.
iv. Also, we hereby call on the State Executive Council of our party to as a matter of urgency to quickly establish an Independent panel/body to make proper inquiries to guaranty Hon.(Barr). Henry Idahagbon for a fair hearing because, this matter if allowed to be swept under the carpet, it might affect the party’s fortune in the future elections.
Therefore, in a unanimous decision, the suspension order is hereby declared null and void.
Consequently, other leaders in attendance showerd encomioums and expressed a vote of implicit confidence on their leader- Hon.(Barr). Henry Idahagbon. And, in attendance at the meeting they signed the resolution order with over 25 leaders of the Ward executives who marked present.
Meanwhile, from investigations many have denounced the signed document on the ground of anonymity, cited that; “as true foot-soldiers, Hon.(Barr). Henry Idahagbon remains their leader come rain or sunshine”, that they were lured to do so because (the reason was unknown) for the deceitful manner and clandestine motives of Chief. Emmanuel Iyase’s such operatives and dastardly claims on the letter to its entirety.
