The Edo State Commissioner for Mining (Oil and Gas), Hon. Andrew Ijegbai, has been honored with the distinguished ‘21st Century Icon of Inspiration and Role Model’ award by the National Association of Nigeria-Delta Students (NANDS).
The recognition ceremony, held Thursday , highlighted Hon. Ijegbai’s exemplary contributions to leadership, youth empowerment, and the development of Edo State.
Presenting the award, Comrade Justin Ofulue, National President of NANDS, described the commissioner as a true role model who embodies the values of integrity, dedication, and service to humanity.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Ijegbai expressed profound gratitude to the association for deeming him worthy of such a prestigious honor. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the advancement of Edo State, emphasizing that his office remains open to collaborations that foster innovation, create opportunities, and drive sustainable growth across the state.
He further pledged to continue championing policies and initiatives that inspire young people and support Edo’s transformation agenda. The award, according to NANDS, is reserved for individuals whose leadership serves as a beacon of inspiration for the Niger Delta region and Nigeria at large.
