Hon. Dennis Idahosa, the member representing Ovia Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has urged Christians in Edo State and across the country to renew their hope and remain optimistic about the nation’s progress, in accordance with the spirit of Easter.
He made the call in an Easter message released this weekend to mark the holiday.
According to him, “Easter is an important and sacred occasion in the Christian faith which symbolises love, redemption, and hope renewal.”
“God demonstrated his limitless love for mankind by sacrificing his only begotten son to redeem us, once and for all, to Himself.”
“By doing so, He gave us hope of a great future and the everlasting joy of eternal life.”
“As we approach an important juncture in the life of our nation, I urge everyone to imbibe this spirit by showing love to one another regardless of our differences.”
“Let us profess positive things about our fatherland and embrace greater optimism about our prospects as a people and a nation, even as we continue to demand effective leadership and the dividends of democracy.”
“I wish everyone a joyous and fulfilling Easter celebration with their friends and loved ones.
