Edo State Ministry of Education Commences Virtual Training for Teachers On Digital skills

The Edo State Ministry of Education, in collaboration with SkillUp Naija, has launched a virtual training program for over 6,000 teachers across the state.

The training aims to equip teachers with skills to effectively implement the new Skills Integration Policy, with a goal of having at least six SkillUp Edo ambassadors in each school.

The comprehensive training program covers key modules such as coding and programming, artificial intelligence, web development, video editing, social media management, vlogging, and blogging.

Upon completion, the teachers will be certified and appointed as SkillUp Edo ambassadors in their respective schools.

The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, emphasized the commitment of the Senator Monday Okpebholo administration to equipping students with knowledge, character, and skills.

This initiative underscores the government’s dedication to enhancing the quality of education in Edo State and preparing students for the demands of the modern world. The training program is a significant step towards achieving this goal.
