Wind of Change in Edo: Okpebholo’s SHINE Agenda Attracts N5bn Oil Palm Investment In Edo

In a major boost to the state’s agricultural sector, FARMFORD Investment Ltd has committed a massive N5 billion investment to Orhionmwon Local Government Area for the establishment of an oil palm seedlings plantation project. The landmark investment signals growing investor confidence in Edo State under the Okpebholo-led administration.
The investment team, led by Ayuba A. Ayuba, paid a courtesy visit to the Orhionmwon LGA headquarters in Abudu, where they were received by the local government team headed by Hon. Thompson, the Ag. Chairman of Orhionmwon LGA. The meeting brought together key stakeholders and partners, underscoring the collaborative approach being adopted to ensure the success of the project.
Also present at the meeting was Mr. Inikoro Odafe Anthony, a consultant with the Malaysian Embassy, whose participation further highlights the international dimension of the investment and the growing global interest in Edo State’s agricultural potential.
The oil palm seedlings plantation project is expected to generate significant employment opportunities, improve livelihoods, and stimulate economic activities within Orhionmwon LGA and its surrounding communities.
