Engr. Osaze Imasogie, the Uhunmwode APC leader, has extended warm congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu as the new Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH).
In a congratulatory message, Imasogie described the appointment as “well-deserved,” citing Prof. Ize-Iyamu’s exceptional qualifications and extensive experience in the medical field.
Prof. Ize-Iyamu, a globally trained specialist, brings over 27 years of service to UBTH, including 11 years as Head of Department. Her impressive credentials include fellowships from Oxford University and the University of Washington, as well as over 55 publications in reputable journals.
As the first female CMD of UBTH, Imasogie said Prof Ize-Iyamu will usher in a new era of transformative healthcare delivery, prioritizing patient-centered care and technological advancement.
Prof Ize-Iyamu will position the hospital as a model for teaching hospitals in Nigeria, meeting and surpassing international healthcare standards, He added
