Oshomole ruled the state for 8 years and within his reign, he impacted AAUE thus:
1. He called for a town hall meeting at AAUE when he was not satisfied with the running of the University at a time and sacked the then Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S. Uniamikogbo.
2. He appointed an Acting Vice-Chancellor, Late Prof (Mrs) C. Agbebaku who left office without owing salaries and cheque off dues.
3. He approved the Constitution of Governing Council as at when due. In fact, he inherited a Council whose tenure ended as at when due and he immediately appointed another whose tenure also ended as at when due.
4. He provided 18 seater bus to the Students Union Government.
5. He built a 300 seater hall at Emaudo Annex of the University.
6. He built another 300 seater hall at the main campus which is now renamed TMA hall.
7. He built a Professorial Mess close to the Alumni Home branch building in the University.
8. He built the department of Fine & Applied Arts.
9. He built a magnificent hall at the College of Medicine
10. He improved on the administrative building as abandoned before his emergence as the governor of Edo State.
11. He approved funds for the various accreditation of some courses in the University
12. HE INCREASED THE SUBVENTION TO THE UNIVERISTY FROM LESS THAN 200M HE MET IT TO 250M.
13. He constituted a Visitation Panel for the University at a time and the report was made public

14. At the exit of his tenure, staff were not owned salaries
15. lastly, we were told that this Man called Oshomole did not go to school….
Obaseki has ruled the state for 4 years plus and during his ongoing reign, the state-owned University has witnessed thus;
1. He completed the administrative block from where Oshomole stopped.
2. He mobilized men and resources to attend the 2018 Convocation ceremony where Dangote promised to provide a hostel facility for the University. As l type this letter, that project is almost completed close to the main library of the University. Other associated members made several other donations and we are still awaiting its realization. E.g Chief Ainabe promised staff quarters.
3. He appointed Council after more than one year of the expiration of the Council whose tenure elapsed prior to his arrival as governor thereby giving the University Management the opportunity to do and undo.
4. He appointed Council for a five-year tenure and dissolved the same Council when their tenure was yet to elapse without any reasons for such actions.
5. He set up Special Visitation Panel in October 2020 and up till this moment, the report has not been made public. The Panel was set up to look at many issues. Whereas the Council was technically suspended during the period of the Panels assignment, the University Management was left intact to provide information for the Panel to work.
6. He sent a bill to the EDHA to take over the affairs of the University without any reason for such action thereby undermining the University’s Law. The EDHA hurriedly passed the bill without a public hearing as if we are in a military era.
7. He appointed an Ag. VC from Uniben undermining the many qualified Professors in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
8. He reduced the subvention to the university from 250m to 98m and later to 41m
9. Staff are currently owned 5 months salaries, 1-year cheque of dues, many months unpaid Union’s dues, etc.
10. He had a town hall meeting in the University in 2018 where he promised to reposition the University and in 2021 we are still talking of repositioning
11. Lastly, he is a graduand from the premium University, UI.
