At least five members of a family died while trying to view the body of the late President John Pombe Magufuli.
On Monday, it emerged that 5 members of a family had died in a stampede that occurred during the respects paying of the late President Magufuli.
It has now emerged that those who passed away were a woman and four kids.
The said woman is said to have left home with the four kids, her kids, and those of her in-laws, with an aim of setting their eyes on the body of their departed hero, late President Magufuli.
A stampede is said to have happened when they were at the venue where the body was being viewed, which resulted in their deaths.
The deceased’s family said they received a call from a stranger, who simply said “the owner of this phone has been taken to hospital after she fell in the middle of a crowd”.

The family went to the hospital where they established that their family members had passed away.
