How AAUA Graduate Was Killed Over N1,000

DETAILS have emerged on how a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, Temitayo Ayodeji, was stabbed to death by suspected cultists.

It was gathered that the late Ayodeji had just written his final paper in the Physics Electronics Department before he was killed.

He was stabbed in his off campus hostel around Ebenco area in Akungba.

Efforts to save him failed as he was confirmed dead at a hospital located at Iwaro-Akoko.

A source said he was stabbed by the cultists after he refused to pay them the N1,000 they demanded from him.

However, angry students mobilised and set the family house of one of the suspected assailants ablaze.

President of the institution’s Students Union Government, Comrade Ogunsanmi Kolade, said efforts were on to arrest the suspects.

Comrade Kolade said the perpetrators would be made to face justice.

Ondo State Police spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, confirmed the incident, saying that efforts were on to arrest the suspects.
