Senator Ifeanyi Ubah slumped and died on Friday night amid celebrations of the graduation of his child from a United Kingdom institution.
Sources disclosed that the Anambra South Senator had travelled to the UK with his wife to felicitate with his family on the graduation of their child when he suddenly slumped.
Prior to his UK trip that he had been heavily consulting ahead of his Governorship bid in Anambra State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Ubah was elected Senator in 2019 on the platform of the Young Progressive Party, YPP, and reelected on that platform in 2023.
He defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, earlier this year and has indicated interest in seeking the governorship of Anambra State in next year’s election.
Ubah contested the 2021 Anambra governorship election and came fourth in a contest won by Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA
