It’s unfortunate that the Resident Electoral Commissioner *Mr.OBO.O. EFFANGA* has turned himself to Cheap Electoral tools in the hands of *Governor Godwin Obaseki* in the just concluded Edo House of Assembly Election.
You can recalled, *OVIA SOUTH WEST* Constituency results was declared inconclusive by state residents Electoral Commissioner because of the irregularities that happened on *March 18,2023.*
Meanwhile,the Deputy State Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Khalifa Jarrett Tenebe has called on Prof. Mahood Yakubu,who is the Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission* to call the Edo resident Commissioner to order because is on the verge to cancel the results which has been already been uploaded to INEC Portal in favour of Gov. Obaseki and his PDP candidate in the last Election.
*Jarrett Tenebe* who raised this alarm on his sick hospital bed said, APC will not fold their hands watch Obaseki and the *Mr OBO .O. EFFANGA to perpetuate illegality in Edo State. He added.
In view of this, why will Obaseki bribed the electoral officers to cancel results which has already been uploaded to INEC Portal? What a desperation.
In a related development, Gov. Obaseki has already bribed the Resident Electoral Commissioner with $250,000 to cancel 7 units results in order for PDP his adopted party to have the highest votes casted in the last Election results. But promised that APC will resist such arrangements.
He however, promised to be on ground on the day of the supplementary Election because as the Deputy State Chairman of APC in the state,he will act in full capacity for the State Chairman who is presently on vacation.he stated.
