In a thank-you reception held in Irrua, the headquarters of Esan Central, Edo State, newly elected Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo addressed the people who voted for him in the September 21st gubernatorial election.
“We are here to appreciate the people of Esan Central for voting for me,” Okpebholo said. He promised that within his first 100 days in office, he will oversee the construction and renovation of over 100 schools in the state.
Former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, who was present at the event, thanked the people for electing Okpebholo as the new governor. “I charge you all to pray for your son to succeed,” Oshiomhole told the crowd.
Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the APC governorship candidate in the previous election, also attended the event. He expressed his appreciation to the people of Edo South, North, and Central for the APC’s victory in the recent polls.
