Jubilation As Akpatason Donates 500KVA Transformer To Edo Community

Ugboshi-Ele community in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State today, heaved a sigh of relief as the Deputy House Leader of the House or Representatives, Rt. Hon. Comrade Peter Akpatason donated a 500KVA transformer to restore electricity supply to the village, which has been without power for more than than four years.

Speaking shortly after the handing over of the transformer to the traditional ruler of the community, Oba Timothy Oyeoba, the Obairoro III of Ugboshi-Ele, Rt. Hon. Comrade Peter Akpatason noted that it was necessary for him to donate the sub-station after he learnt that the community has been without power for close to four years.

Represented by his aide, Mr. Ebeneza Oladele, the Lawmaker representing Akoko-Edo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives hoped the transformer would address the challenges of electricity supply and boost economic activities in the community.

Mr. Ebeneza said the lawmaker felt very bad when he learnt that the community had been without power for close to four years. This is a place where thousands of people need light to work for a living, he said.

According to him, “The lawmaker felt that the donation became necessary considering the power outage that affected so many businesses in the community.”

Some visibly jubilant residents and community associations have commended the lawmaker for keeping his promise to transform the highly populated community by bringing meaningful development that touches the lives of the people.

They thanked Comrade Peter Akpatason for coming to their rescue and commended him for keeping faith with the community.

They said, “We can’t thank Comrade Peter Akpatason enough, he has done something that pleases the heart of everyone in this community.

“We have been without power for almost five years now, and God sent Mr. Peter Akpatason to help us out from this difficult situation.

“We shall jealously guard the equipment because we don’t want to go back to the days of darkness, they said.
