JUST IN: Yakubu Is Dead

The passing away of Abdullahi Yakubu, the Kano State Leadership newspapers correspondent, has left the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, deeply saddened.

The Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Malam Ibrahim Shuiabu, conveyed this sentiment in a statement released on Friday in Kano.

 

In the statement, it was mentioned that Deputy Governor Alhaji Aminu Gwarzo, acting on behalf of Governor Abba Yusuf, extended heartfelt condolences to Abdullahi Yakubu’s family. Abdullahi Yakubu, aged 55, passed away after a short illness.

Governor Yusuf expressed his sympathy and recognized the magnitude of the loss brought about by Abdullahi’s untimely demise.

 

The Correspondents Chapel of NUJ in Kano had announced the passing of Abdullahi Yakubu on Friday. Alhaji Aminu Garko, the Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel, conveyed this announcement in a statement, describing the late journalist as a respectable individual who left this world when his contributions to society were much needed.

Garko also offered prayers for the strength and resilience of the bereaved family members, wishing them comfort during this challenging period.

 

Abdullahi Yakubu was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs. He is survived by his wife and children.
