Kano State stormed the 10th Edition of the Authentic News Daily Awards/Lecture with a large delegation of high profile politicians and administrators, stealing the show at the prestigious event, held at the Arewa House, Kaduna on Saturday May 10, 2025.
The award which was presented to 2024 winners of the annual event, anchored by two seasoned female broadcasters, Elizabeth Anche of Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC) and Mary Mathias Kaza of Supreme FM, was described as the biggest event in Kaduna this May, by several guests.

In his keynote address, former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, said that Authentic News Daily Award is a testament of discipline.
This award “The Authentic Award of Recognition Year 2024” is not merely a plaque or a title. It is a silent testament to a journey travelled with discipline, with devotion, and with an unshaken faith in Nigeria’s promise.Let me also thank and appreciate the organisers for choosing a
theme that is quite contemporary and a critical tool in our struggles for prosperity.
“This year’s theme “Religion as a Tool for Peace and National Unity” cannot come at a better time than now. It is a common knowledge that all religions acknowledge peace and preach peace in our human engagements,” Buratai who was represented by Major Gen Bulama Biu (Rtd) mni Sarkin Yakin Biu & Askira Emirates, said.
President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF), Engineer Musa Nimrod who is the Authentic Man of The Year 2024, in his remarks, appreciated the organisers for the honour.
Speaking through his representative, Ahmadu Bello Stadium Manager, Samaila Usman, he described the quality of guests and the papers presented as impressive.
A member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Honourable Amos Gwamna Magaji described the Authentic News Daily lecture as a brilliant idea.
Honourable Magaji popularly known as AGM, who is the House Committee on Healthcare Services, described his movement to the All Progressives Congress (APC), as a decision taken in line with the achievements of Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State and that of President Bola Tinubu.
In his remarks, General Manager, Nasarawa State Water Board, Lafia, Dr Kana Ahmad Abukakar, expressed delight at the award bestowed on him by Authentic News Daily.
He commended the organisers for the event, urging all Nigerians to stay in tune with the papers presented at the lecture.
Earlier in the first paper presentation, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) 19 Northern States and FCT, Reverend Joseph John Hayab harped on the need of peaceful coexistence.
He commended General Buratai for exemplary military leadership, citing his handling of the Shiite crisis with maturity.
Presenting the second paper, Sheikh Halliru Abdullahi Maraya said that the religion of Islam has injunctions, teachings and tenets that principle of the religion, in relations with the non-Muslims , to
promote and sustain peace and national unity.
The basic peace, tolerance, forgiveness, interaction, love and
friendship. The first and cardinal principle of peace and national
unity is the acceptance that religious faith is optional as
mentioned by this paper earlier,” he said.
While delivering goodwill messages, representative of Dangote Group, Mallam Abdulraman Abubakar who is the National Assembly Liaison Officer, praised the management of Authentic News Daily for organizing the lecture.
He said Dangote Group cherishes the award and will maintain its positive impact on the Nigerian economy.
